TERMS of SALE
The following conditions apply to the sale of items listed
on this website:
PAYMENT & DELIVERY
1. All sales will be done
LOCALLY, in person. The buyer is expected to come
meet me at Kugayama Station and to pay in cash at that time
if the item is acceptable. (except as in item 2 below)
2. Buyers who live in Japan but outside of the Tokyo area
may request that the item be shipped (within Japan only).
If I agree to ship the item, the buyer must accept the
following:
a. the item is accepted sight-unseen and may not be
returned
b. the buyer will pay extra charges for the shipping and
handling
c. the buyer will pay the full amount by bank transfer or
cash in registered mail before the item is shipped
WARRANTY & RETURNS
3. All items are sold “as
is.” No refund, return or exchange is allowed
(except as in item 4 below). The buyer must test the
condition and functionality of the item before buying it.
4. The battery life of iPods or digital cameras cannot be
verified by the buyer at the time of the sale. Therefore,
the buyer has 48 hours from the time of the sale to test it
and notify the seller of any problem. In the following
cases only, the item may be returned:
a. an iPod whose battery is depleted while playing audio
(not video) less than 2 hours after being fully charged.
b. a digital camera whose battery is depleted after taking
fewer than 30 consecutive photos.
(note: the batteries of notebook computers are not covered
and should not be assumed useable)
5. In the cases listed in item 4a and b, the buyer must
return the item within one week of the time of purchase. I
will then test and verify the condition of the battery. If
I verify it is non-functional, I will do one of the
following, at my own preference:
a. replace the battery
b. exchange the iPod or camera for one of equal value or
higher value
c. refund the purchase price
However, if after testing, the battery is not found to be
faulty as claimed by the buyer, no replacement or exchange
will be offered, and it will be the buyer’s responsibility
to come and retrieve the item at the same location where
the sale was made.
